It's OK App looks great, but doesn't seem to have the option to auto start/pause on Bluetooth connection connect/disconnect. This seems like a very basic feature that's missing. I guess it's back to DoggCatcher for me until I can get that in Pocket Casts. Dev says to use Tasker for this. That's great if you can hack a way around this missing option, but wouldn't it just make more sense to build this basic feature into the app? Everything else in this app is made to be as user-friendly as possible, it's crazy that the "recommended" method of getting this functionality is to use the infamously un-user-friendly Tasker app. Full Review

A great podcast player, with one critical flaw. There is no way to automatically download and queue episodes in the published order. (eg: oldest first) Despite the nice features in Pocket Casts, I am switching back to DoggCatcher for this reason. Full Review

I've tried dozens of podcast apps+this is the one I've stick with longest for organising my many subscriptions. A few features I'd love added: *in the drop-down menu I'd like an indication of how much time is left in that episode. *when I'm in the downloads/a playlist or the search screens when I hit the back button I'd like it to go back to my.main screen. By far, I use Pocket Casts more than all other applications combined. We're inseparable. I use it morning, afternoon & night. My logs prove that I'm using the app more hours than I'm asleep! I consider myself the biggest fan of Pocket Casts, though I'm sure it's debatable. I've recommended the app to others and they have purchased. The app gets better with every version. You may want to find some free app but trust me, you will not regret buying Pocket Casts! It is worth every penny! Full Review

My fav, go-to app, full of all the right features to make listening smooth, easy, and automated so I don't have to remember to download new eps or queue them up. However, a couple of weeks ago, it crashed mid-play and now refuses to open without crashing in the process. I've sent in several bug reports, but the issue has yet to be resolved. If it's not soon, I'm going to fully move on to another app. :( Full Review

They have a half hearted attempt to assist me but no bueno. Have switched to podbean which works flawlessly. Full Review

The app is good. Bad review because they are forcing you to pay for the app separately and for using website separately. The reason I purchased this app was that I could continue from where I left off on the app but didn't realise I have to pay for both the services separately. Full Review

I really like how light it feels. It's an incredible podcasting app. But yeah, being able to search for individual episodes within a podcast's tab? Want it. Also, I'd like to have more granular control over the app volume, since some podcasts are too loud at night, even at the quietest phone volume setting. Please? Pretty pretty please? The in-app volume control would be an incredible addition, in my book. Full Review

This ap. is wonderful, allowing me to download ep's at home (on WiFi) and play them while I'm walking, or out and about. The only reason it doesn't get five stars, is that there's no distinction between stuff you've already played, and stuff you've never seen before, in the backlist. This is irritating and confusing. The podcasts are listed with DD-MON, but no YY year, so if I'm tracking back, it can get confusing. Also, there's a difference between Discover (which allows you to search for, and find new podcasts), and Podcasts, which lets you play them. It should be easier to switch between these. Download this, it's simple enough I recommended it to my mum. Full Review

Love how you can speed up droning american podcasts to 1.5 speed and actually hear them talk like Aussies do. I'm sure they drop Aussie podcasts down to 0.5 to listen to them. Because they can, with PocketCasts. Interface tweaks are fantastic! I'd pay for this again. They even have family library support! Full Review

I've searched all over and can find no way to update individual podcasts. ("Update" means I download the latest episode listings but *not* download the whole episodes.) Seems to be a big feature that's missing. I sent the dev an email about this and got no reply. Seems weird that the most popular podcast app is missing this core feature. Maybe it's there but I've searched all over google and youtube and didn't find it. Anyone know this feature? Full Review

This could be the best podcast app on Android with a bit more tweaking by the Australian developers. Users need to be able to easily access all the Apple podcasts. Not just some of them. Find a way of offering all the Apple podcasts available at anyone time. For example, the Open University and both Oxford and Cambridge universities offer a wealth of high quality, free, material with regular podcasts. So why are we being offered Alligator State University or even Trump University. How about Black Stump University as well? Come on you know you can do better than this! Full Review

Needs a proper way to add premium RSS podcasts that require login credentials. Other podcast apps can do it and your own desktop site can do it, I see no reason why you can't add a username and password system to the app. I'll change my review back to 5 stars when this is sorted. Full Review

Has an attractive and mostly well-thought-out interface (why adding a podcast feed from a URL needs to be through a secret command, I'll never understand) but the biggest issue with Pocket Casts is that it just doesn't download podcast files properly, at least on my Galaxy S7 - about 99% of the podcast is fine but a small part of about half the podcasts come through corrupted, and it's not picked up by the app. The version I started using would stop playback entirely when it came across a section of the file it had corrupted; this current version merely stops playback, allowing me to skip ahead to good data. But this shouldn't happen at all, and support never responded to my request for help. Other issues, like not being able to add private feeds (like Patreon subscriber feeds), were the final straw. Interface is real nice, though. Maybe your phone is different. Full Review
